Summary

The Town of Huachuca City is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Town Manager.

About the position

The manager shall be the administrative head of the town and shall serve at the pleasure of the Council. He or she shall be responsible for the administration of all affairs of the town which are under his or her control. In addition to his or her general powers as administrative head, it shall be his or her duty and he or she shall have the powers as set forth by Title 2, Chapter 2.35, and Section 2.35.015 of the Huachuca City Town Code.

Desired Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in public administration, business administration or a closely related field; and
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to municipal management; or
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A working familiarity with the Arizona Revised Statues, including: open meetings, public records, powers of municipalities, budget, finance, conflicts of interest and elections.

PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE BUDGET AND PROPERTY TAX LEVY ON AUGUST 2, 2017 , AT 6:30 PM

Please be advised that there will be a public hearing before the Town of Huachuca City Council held on August 2, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Town Hall, 500 N. Gonzales Blvd., Huachuca City, Arizona, for the adoption of the budget for fiscal year 2017-2018 and the property tax levy.
All persons are invited to appear and make comments for or against any proposed budget expenditure or tax levy. Complete copies of the estimates of the revenues and expenditures are available at Town Hall and the Town Library.

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Huachuca City will be having a public hearing at 6:30 PM in council chambers on 07-05-2017.

The purpose of this public hearing is for the board’s presentation of proposed amendments to the Town Code, Title 18 “Zoning” AND Title 15 “Buildings and Construction” to provide for court ordered restitution in Zoning and Building Code enforcement cases.

Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend, and to provide their feedback with respect to this particular matter. If the board decides to approve the changes, the verbiage will move onto the Town Council for final consideration and adoption.
