The Huachuca City Police Department currently consists of 5 full-time police officers, 5 communications officers and 2 Animal Control officers. The department’s jurisdiction is defined as beginning at milepost 311 on State Route 90 to milepost 314 and the town proper. However, the officers do, on occasion, respond to the Whetstone and surrounding area to assist the County Deputies.

Impound vehicles released Monday -Friday from 9am-3pm


The Huachuca City Police Department has 1 reserve officer. These officers do not get a salary for the work performed. They are on duty for 40 hours per month. For more information on becoming a reserve officer, please contact the non-emergency number.

Huachuca City Fire Department is a volunteer department.  The fire chief, Jon Allmon, keeps normal hours during the week.  For interest in becoming a volunteer, please visit or call the fire department.
