The Huachuca City Police Department currently consists of 6 full-time police officers, 5 communications officers and 2 Animal Control officers. The department’s jurisdiction is defined as beginning at milepost 311 on State Route 90 to milepost 314 as well as Town of Huachuca City Proper. However, the officers do, on occasion, respond to the Whetstone and surrounding area to assist the Cochise County Sheriffs Office and other agencies.

The Huachuca City Police Department has 1 reserve officer. These officers do not get a salary for the work performed. They are on duty for 40 hours per month. For more information on becoming a reserve officer, please contact Cmd Allen at the non-emergency number.

The Huachuca City Police Department also has a Citizens Patrol unit.  Huachuca City Residents are encouraged to speak with Cmd Allen or Bob Chapman to become a member.

Fingerprinting is available Monday - Friday from 10am -  11am.  Cost is $5.00 and you must bring your own fingerprint card. 

House checks available upon request.

Impound vehicles released Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm

Huachuca City Fire Department is a volunteer department.  The fire chief, Jon Allmon, keeps normal hours during the week.  For those interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit or call the fire department.

Huachuca City Fire Department works regularly the Whetstone Fire Department for mutual aid and assistance.
